Custom Glass Plates can be ordered to the customer's specifications.

C.B.S. Scientific offers glass plates in 4 thicknesses: 1/4" (6mm), 3/16" (4mm), 1/8" (3mm) and 1/16" (1.5mm). The standard rectangular back plates for vertical slab gels are 1/8" thick. The standard back plate for sequencing/large format gels is 3/16" thick. Standard notched plates for slab gels and sequencing/large format gels are 3/16" thick. Please provide us with the following information: For the notched plate measurements the overall width of the plate, the height of the notched plate, the width of the ear, the height of the ear and the thickness of the glass plate.
